DURGUN 45 PRO
Apply mortar, grout and sealant with ease and accuracy with the Durgan pro applicator. You can use it when applying mortar to patio slabs, block paving or for re-pointing brick work.
It comes with two copper nozzles to fit any gap or void. Two plastic nozzles for grouting are supplied. The pro applicator applies sealants quickly and efficiently with minimal mess.
It's very easy to use - just fill up the barrel and dispense! It also fills gaps without voids.

Soft Sand
Soft sand is used for bricklaying it comes in various colours, mainly red , orange , and yellow. To test wet sand and rub on your fingers if your fingers are stained then this is the correct sand, if your fingers are not stained then this is washed sand which will not work in the durgun 45 & 45 pro.
Shaping and Mortar Mix
When shaping a nozzle always make sure that you fit the nozzle to the tube first. Then using a pair of pliers shape the nozzle to the required width.
The recommend mixture for the Durgun 45 pro is 3 parts sand to 1 part cement
When mixing make sure that you always use a plaster sizer. PVA can also be added to make the mortar water proof.
Make sure that the mortar is mixed correctly and that it is not to wet or too dry but the right consistency.
Grouting and Pointing
Use the plastic nozzle when grouting, this can be cut to required size. You can use ready mixed grouts or mix your own grouts in the durgun 45 & 45 pro. Ready mixed grouts can be left in the tube for up to 24 hours. Mix your own grouts which are cement based must be cleaned out immediately after use.
Use the copper nozzle for all mortar applications, copper nozzles can be made simply from 28mm or 1” copper tube. When pointing SOFT SAND must always be used.
